Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support a busy imaging lab in an acute care hospital environment. The role involves working independently at times and supporting nuclear cardiology studies ordered by multiple cardiology groups. Candidates should be confident, adaptable, and proficient with isolation precautions and radioactive material handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear medicine procedures according to physician orders and safety protocols.
Work with cardiac imaging for outpatient and inpatient adult populations.
Operate nuclear medicine equipment and ensure proper storage and disposal of radioactive materials.
Maintain documentation, comply with regulatory standards, and follow hospital protocols.
Collaborate with cardiology and radiology teams to ensure timely and accurate diagnostics.
Float within scope to meet department needs.
Independently manage lab when primary tech is on PTO.
Required Experience & Skills:
Minimum 3 years of experience in nuclear medicine.
Adult patient care experience in hospital and nuclear cardiology settings.
Strong understanding of isolation protocols and radioactive material handling.
Ability to operate standard nuclear medicine equipment and chart via Epic (Excellian).
Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) – Required

Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care in a busy, high-acuity ER setting

Administer medications, monitor patient vitals, and document accurately in EMRs
Maintain compliance with all clinical and safety protocols
Requirements:
Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state

Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and ability to thrive under pressure
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required or willing to obtain)
