About the Facility:
A well-established 204-bed acute care hospital located in Palm Beach County, Florida. The facility provides a broad range of advanced healthcare services, including emergency care, robotic-assisted procedures, orthopedic and spine care, interventional radiology, neonatal services (Level II NICU), and pediatric care.

Position Summary:
The Sterile Processing Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department. This role ensures the proper decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
This leadership position plays a critical role in maintaining patient safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily sterile processing operations
Lead, mentor, and support departmental staff to ensure productivity and quality
Ensure proper decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and storage of instruments
Oversee sterilization quality assurance and testing procedures
Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., infection control, safety guidelines)
Train and evaluate staff performance and competency
Manage inventory of surgical instruments and oversee equipment maintenance
Collaborate with surgical teams and other departments to ensure timely instrument availability
Monitor adherence to infection prevention and patient safety protocols
Qualifications:
Required:
CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification or equivalent
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2–3 years of sterile processing experience
Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection prevention, and automated sterilization systems
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
