Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse to join a high-performing cardiovascular operating room team. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures and be comfortable with both scrub and circulate responsibilities.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries.
Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
Scrub and circulate for open heart and vascular cases as needed.
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to facility safety and infection control protocols.
Participate in on-site ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
Work every other holiday as part of the team schedule.
Required Experience
Minimum 18 months of recent CVOR experience (required).
Open Heart and Vascular surgical experience preferred.
Must have at least 18 months of permanent CVOR experience prior to travel nursing.
Experience in both scrub and circulate roles preferred.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
Certifications & Licensure
BLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
CCRN – Critical Care Registered Nurse (preferred)
CNOR – Certified Nurse Operating Room (preferred)
Schedule
Day shift: 07:00 – 17:30
4×10-hour shifts per week
No guaranteed weekends off; must work every other holiday

Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant Med Surg/Telemetry experience (required).
Licensure: Active Ohio RN License or Compact State License (required).
