Position Summary:

A respected acute care hospital in Goldsboro, NC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Labor & Delivery team. This role provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor and delivery process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced maternal care environment.

Compensation

Base Pay Range:

  • $33.00 – $54.45 per hour
    (Applicable to both Experienced RNs and New Graduate RNs)

Shift Differentials (Can Be Combined):

  • Evening (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM): +$3.30/hr

  • Night (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM): +$6.00/hr

  • Weekend (Sat 7:00 AM – Mon 7:30 AM): +$10.00/hr

  • Holiday: 50% of base rate added to base pay

  • Specialty Differential (OR, ER, ICU): +$2.00/hr

(Example: A weekend night shift would receive both the weekend and night differentials in addition to base pay.)

Relocation Incentive (2-Year Commitment):

  • 50–250 miles: $2,500

  • 251–500 miles: $5,000

  • 501+ miles: $10,000

Paid-in-Lieu-of-Benefits (PLB) Option:

  • Full-Time: +30% added to base rate

  • Part-Time: +20% added to base rate

PLB teammates receive differential pay in lieu of benefits and PTO but remain eligible for applicable shift differentials and performance incentives.

Commitment & Retention Incentives

New Graduate RNs (3-Year Total: $15,000)

  • Paid incrementally from hire through 2 years

Patient-Facing Night RNs (3-Year Total: $25,000 | 4-Year Total: $35,000)

  • Paid incrementally at 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, and 4 years

(Additional incentive structures available based on shift and unit assignment.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients.

  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being.

  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.

  • Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.

  • Educate patients and families on newborn and postpartum care.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with safety standards.

  • Collaborate with OB providers, neonatology, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Respond effectively in emergency situations.

Required Education:

  • Nursing Diploma OR

  • ADN/ASN from an accredited School of Nursing

Preferred Education:

  • BSN or MSN from an accredited School of Nursing

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • Active North Carolina RN License.

  • BLS (AHA or ARC).

  • ACLS (AHA or ARC).

  • NRP Certification.
