Position Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) to join our healthcare team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of recent general ultrasound experience in an acute care setting and be able to provide high-quality imaging while ensuring compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to established protocols.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to capture accurate images for physician review.
Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and provide supportive care.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff for optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
Participate in required training and competency sessions, including EPIC system training.
Qualifications:
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by ARDMS (required).
Minimum 1 year of general ultrasound experience.
Acute care setting experience required.
Strong technical knowledge and ability to work independently.
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Flexibility to work alternating weekends and holidays.
Must be available for in-person interviews (no virtual option).
Schedule & Compensation:
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday with alternating weekends/holidays.

Duties

Required Skills & Experience

Registered Nurse (RN) License in New York State.
Primary Source Verification of license via NYS Department of Education (NYSED).
AHA BLS Certification.

Provide technical support within Histology, including specimen preparation and analysis.
