Job Title: Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently with minimal orientation and capable of managing a full range of cardiopulmonary therapies.

Candidate Preferences

• Must reside outside a 100-mile radius

• Pediatric experience preferred

• Must not be working concurrent travel assignments

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy

• Active New York State license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist

• Minimum 2 years of post-degree acute care clinical experience

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance

Key Responsibilities

Respiratory Therapy & Oxygen Management

• Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapies

• Initiate and monitor oxygen therapy

• Manage non-invasive and continuous ventilatory support

Critical Care Support

• Assist physicians with initiation and maintenance of mechanical ventilation

• Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Diagnostic Procedures

• Perform pulmonary function testing

• Conduct radial arterial punctures

Clinical Expectations

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care in an acute care environment

• Perform majority of patient care functions with minimal supervision

• Adapt to dynamic patient acuity and interdisciplinary collaboration
