Job Summary

Position Overview
A hospital is seeking an experienced Adult Surgical / Operating Room Technician to support a high-volume Downtown Adult Operating Room. The ideal candidate will have strong scrub experience and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced trauma environment.
Responsibilities
Perform scrub duties for a wide range of adult surgical procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile fields before, during, and after surgical cases
Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently during procedures
Participate in trauma, orthopedic, general, ENT, vascular, GYN, and other specialty cases
Ensure compliance with sterile technique, infection control, and OR safety standards
Assist with surgical counts (instruments, sponges, sharps)
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, RNs, anesthesia, and surgical team members
Maintain professionalism in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room experience (within the last 4 years)
Experience must be in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center or equivalent acute care facility
