Job Title: Workday Architect 

Location: Paramus, NJ

Type: Contract 

Position Overview: 
We are seeking an experienced Workday Architect to lead the design, configuration, and optimization of our Workday platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across multiple Workday modules, a strong understanding of business processes, and the ability to translate organizational requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant Workday solutions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the overall Workday architecture, including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Compensation, and other modules as required. 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, HR, Finance, and IT teams to gather requirements and design solutions aligned with organizational goals. 
  • Define and implement Workday configuration strategies, ensuring best practices, scalability, and performance. 
  • Oversee Workday integrations with internal and third-party systems, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance. 
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation, design standards, and technical specifications. 
  • Stay current with Workday releases, features, and industry best practices, providing recommendations for continuous improvement. 
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Workday administrators, developers, and support teams. 
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of Workday-related issues. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 7+ years of Workday experience, with at least 3 years in an architect or lead role. 
  • Strong expertise in multiple Workday modules and integration technologies (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI). 
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex Workday solutions in large or global organizations. 
  • Strong understanding of HR, payroll, and finance business processes. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Workday certifications in relevant modules highly preferred. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience with Workday Security, Reporting, and BIRT. 
  • Familiarity with cloud architecture and enterprise system integrations. 
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). 
  • Project management or Agile delivery experience.
