Job Title: Workday Architect  

Location: Houston, TX

Type: Contract 

Position Overview: 
We are looking for a highly skilled Workday Architect to drive the strategic design, configuration, and enhancement of our Workday platform. This role requires broad expertise across Workday modules, a deep understanding of organizational workflows, and the capability to create scalable, secure, and compliant solutions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Direct the architecture for Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Recruiting, and Compensation modules. 
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and business units to define requirements and craft aligned solutions. 
  • Establish configuration best practices to ensure optimal performance and scalability. 
  • Oversee integration points with internal systems and external vendors. 
  • Maintain up-to-date architectural documentation and system diagrams. 
  • Evaluate new Workday features and recommend adoption strategies. 
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Workday technical and functional teams. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Workday issues. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 
  • 7+ years of Workday experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or architect-level role. 
  • Proven mastery of multiple Workday modules and integration tools. 
  • Track record in large-scale, complex Workday implementations. 
  • Strong business process knowledge in HR, payroll, and finance. 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. 
  • Workday certifications preferred. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Proficiency in Workday Security and custom reporting. 
  • Experience with cloud-based architecture and enterprise integrations. 
  • Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, and data privacy regulations. 
  • Agile or project management experience.
