Location: Columbia, SC (On-site)
Duration: 12 Months

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Project Manager to provide hands-on leadership and structure for a large, complex project transitioning from a legacy financial system to a new state ERP system (SCEIS). This project is currently being re-baselined, and the selected candidate will play a critical role in implementing disciplined program management and fostering collaborative stakeholder engagement.

The Project Manager will work within the PMO team, partnering with an external agency that oversees business processes and vendor relationships. The role requires ensuring technical requirements are met, driving project accountability, and aligning execution with strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Quickly gain situational awareness of an active, challenging project to identify critical issues, risks, and solutions.
  • Implement and reinforce rigorous program management practices across planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical, functional, and change management teams to ensure enterprise system requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, vendors, ERP specialists, and executive sponsors.
  • Manage relationships with contracted system integrators and oversee cross-functional coordination.
  • Lead efforts in risk management, issue resolution, scope control, and milestone accountability.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across all stakeholder groups.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Program Manager for large-scale enterprise IT implementations, preferably involving cloud-based procurement or ERP systems.
  • Proven experience with financial system migrations or modernization efforts.
  • Strong knowledge of project/program management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in turning around challenged or late-running projects.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and working with system integrators.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, multi-agency public sector environments.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle, SAP, or Workday.
  • Background in technology program oversight involving cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience managing large-scale state government projects.

Education/Certifications:

  • PMP Certification required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 6–8 years of relevant program management experience.
