Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for the Adult Emergency Department (ED) on the night shift. Nurses may be required to float to the Pediatric Emergency Department and other affiliated ED units as needed. This role demands strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and the ability to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency setting. Trauma center experience is highly preferred.
Shifts include every other weekend and select holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in adult and pediatric emergency department settings
Perform comprehensive assessments and deliver timely, evidence-based nursing interventions
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record system
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
Float to assigned emergency department units based on operational needs
Qualifications
Active New York State RN license
BLS certification (current or eligible for recertification)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent Emergency Department experience within the past 2 years
Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting of similar size and acuity
Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and background check
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
