Location: Syracuse, NY

Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 3 × 12-hour shifts
Hours: 36 hours/week
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and some holidays required
Traveler: Up to $2,100/week
Local: Up to $1,800/week
A acute care hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support its Pediatric Behavioral Health Unit. This role requires strong psychiatric nursing experience, with pediatric exposure preferred. The LPN will provide direct patient care and collaborate closely with nursing and clinical teams in an inpatient setting.
Provide direct patient care in an inpatient pediatric behavioral/psychiatric unit
Assist physicians and nursing staff with examinations, procedures, and daily care
Monitor, record, and report vital signs and patient progress
Administer injections and assist with approved clinical procedures
Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical areas
Complete accurate documentation and charting using EMR systems
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Support unit operations and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned
Active New York State LPN License (required)
Minimum 1 year of LPN experience
Psychiatric experience required
Pediatric experience preferred
CPR certification (current or ability to re-certify)
Prior inpatient or acute care experience preferred
Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
