Position Overview
The Ultrasound Technologist (OB/GYN) is responsible for performing high-quality obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound examinations in a women’s health clinic setting. This role supports physicians by providing accurate diagnostic images and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Perform OB/GYN ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
Conduct transabdominal and endovaginal scans with proper positioning and measurement techniques.
Evaluate and document normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy.
Perform fetal anatomy scans, biophysical profiles, and gestational age assessments.
Identify fetal anomalies, including ectopic pregnancies and other high-risk conditions.
Ensure accurate imaging across all three trimesters of pregnancy.
Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout procedures.
Capture and transfer images to PACS and ensure accurate documentation.
Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to support patient care and workflow.
Patient Volume
Approximately 1–15 patients per day
Required Qualifications
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification – required.
Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN ultrasound experience within the last 3 years.
Proven experience performing gynecological and obstetrical sonograms.
Strong knowledge of fetal development, anatomy, and pregnancy progression.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinic environment.
Excellent communication, professionalism, and patient-care skills.
Preferred Skills
Women’s health clinic or outpatient OB-GYN experience.
Experience working in a travel or contract role.
