Location: Brooklyn, NY
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 3+ Months
Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Requirements:

  • Must possess active CCMA or RMA certification and BLS certification.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program or at least two (2) years of relevant experience.

  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in computer systems and data entry.

Job Responsibilities

Clinical & Administrative Duties:

  • Perform EKGs, lab testing, PFTs, and audiometry as ordered by the physician.

  • Admit patients to exam rooms and collect vital signs, medical and medication history, and allergy information.

  • Ensure exam rooms are cleaned, stocked, and orderly.

  • Maintain and document daily equipment and emergency supply checks.

  • Follow OSHA regulations and universal precautions.

  • Adhere to laboratory procedures and quality control standards as required by CLIA.

Patient & Front Desk Support:

  • Greet patients and visitors courteously and professionally.

  • Register patients using electronic systems and update insurance/eligibility information.

  • Schedule appointments and ensure patient records are updated and organized.

  • Process referrals and communicate with physicians regarding emergencies or follow-ups.

  • File and retrieve reports and manage patient flow efficiently.

Communication & Relationship Management:

  • Maintain respectful and courteous communication with patients, staff, and families.

  • Provide discharge instructions as directed by physicians.

  • Notify patients of test results after physician review.

  • Handle telephone inquiries and messages professionally.

  • Manage and reconcile front-desk transactions, ledgers, and petty cash responsibly.
