Record and update vital signs, assessments, and patient progress
Administer approved medications and therapeutic treatments
Support wound care protocols and specimen collection
Assist patients with ADLs, mobility, and general comfort
Document all care activities within EMR systems accurately
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and families
Follow regulatory and facility-specific safety practices
Travel statewide in response to facility staffing needs
Required Qualifications
Valid NM LPN license (or able to obtain before start)
At least 1 year of recent LPN experience in relevant clinical settings
Current AHA BLS certification
Comfort using EMR platforms and adapting quickly to new systems
Strong communication, accountability, and clinical reasoning skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior travel or float pool background
Experience working in multiple care environments
Ability to work independently and manage rotating assignments
Spanish language skills beneficial

Position Overview Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an ICU Step Down assignment in Manhattan. The RN will provide advanced, high-quality care to patients requiring close monitoring in a fast-paced step-down setting.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive care to step-down patients, including those with tracheostomies, ventilators, feeding tubes, urinary catheters, and cardiac monitoring needs.
Perform frequent assessments, identify subtle changes in patient condition, and escalate care promptly (including activating rapid response or ICU teams).
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs; respond effectively during rapid response and code situations.
Administer IV medications, perform IV insertions and phlebotomy, and manage conscious sedation per unit protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Step Down or ICU experience.
At least 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience.
At least 2 years of conscious sedation experience.
Experience caring for adult and geriatric populations; completion of age-specific competency requirements.
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program required.
Graduation from a National League for Nursing–accredited institution required.
BSN preferred; equivalent education and experience considered.
Licensure & Certifications
Active New York State RN license (verified via NYSED)
AHA BLS – Required
