Phlebotomist- Lab Technician - PLT 25-21349

Job Title: Lab Technician - Phlebotomist

Location: Verona, NY

Schedule: Days (8hr/ day, 5days/ week, 40hr/ week)

Duration: 13 week contract (Extendable)

Requirement: 1 year experience, Covid Card

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and microsampling for adult and pediatric patients as requested.
• Conduct bleeding time tests, sweat chloride tests, and glucose tolerance tests.
• Process and deliver patient specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Greet patients and accurately enter demographics and test requests into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Provide test results to healthcare providers in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and adequately stocked work area; order supplies as needed.
• Answer telephone inquiries from physician offices and coordinate effectively with healthcare teams.
• Uphold strict patient confidentiality and comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Successfully complete daily blood draws and related phlebotomy duties efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.
• Basic understanding of medical laboratory technology.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with diverse patient populations.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle laboratory equipment with precision.
