Position Details
Schedule: Full-time Nights (Rotating Weekends)
Compensation: $39.57 – $53.34 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Considered on a case-by-case basis
On-Call Requirement: Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility
Responsibilities
Deliver specialized perioperative nursing care for trauma surgical cases in a high-acuity Level I Trauma environment.
Utilize the nursing process, critical thinking, and therapeutic interventions to support patient care throughout the perioperative continuum.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and timely patient outcomes.
Requirements
Active Florida RN license or Compact License (must meet Florida licensure guidelines).
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
AHA BLS and ACLS (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Minimum 2 years of Trauma Operating Room experience in an acute care setting (Required).

Responsibilities
Perform stat and routine clinical laboratory testing following established protocols and quality standards.
Conduct quality control, proficiency testing, and routine equipment maintenance.
Process and analyze specimens; manage pending logs and ensure accurate result correlation, including delta checks.
Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and resolve testing discrepancies.
Report critical values promptly and accurately.
Support CAP and other regulatory compliance through proper documentation and adherence to laboratory guidelines.
Monitor inventory, maintain workflow efficiency, and uphold departmental performance standards.
Requirements
Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field preferred.
Active Florida Technologist License required.
