Position Title: Progressive Care Unit / Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU / IMCU RN)

Desired Location: Panama City, Florida (Onsite)


Shifts Available

  • Days – Rotating weekends

  • Nights – Rotating weekends


Position Summary

The Progressive Care / Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care for moderately acute patients. Working collaboratively with medical providers and the interdisciplinary care team, the RN delivers pre-operative and post-operative nursing care while serving as a patient advocate to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate treatment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition upon admission and during each shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes in status

  • Perform procedures and clinical functions as ordered by medical providers

  • Accurately and timely document all aspects of patient care in the medical record

  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses

  • Maintain working knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care

  • Provide patient-centered care aligned with clinical standards and safety protocols


Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of recent acute care PCU experience (within the last year)

    • Will consider candidates with:

      • Recent acute care ER RN experience, or

      • 3 years of recent acute Med-Surg experience

  • Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN compact license

    • Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocation

  • Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 60 days of start

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of start
