Work Location: Panama City, Florida (Onsite)


Shift Options

  • Nights – Rotating weekends

  • Mixed Shifts – Rotating weekends


Position Overview

The FSED Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care using the nursing process while adhering to state nursing practice regulations. This role collaborates closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care and achieve optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced freestanding emergency environment.


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of recent acute care ER RN experience

    • Experience must be within the last year

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

  • Active Florida RN license or valid multistate compact license

    • Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 90 days of hire

  • Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification required within 30 days of hire

  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license acceptable where applicable


Essential Responsibilities

  • Collect and assess comprehensive patient data to determine healthcare needs

  • Analyze assessment data to identify patient diagnoses or clinical issues

  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable outcomes

  • Continuously evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed

  • Apply evidence-based nursing practices to enhance quality and effectiveness of care

  • Exercise independent clinical judgment within scope of experience and role

  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams professionally and ethically

  • Integrate research findings and quality improvement initiatives into practice

  • Adhere to patient safety standards and report medical errors or adverse events appropriately

  • Perform unit-specific duties and float to other units as required by operational needs

  • Participate in professional development and support peer growth
