Shifts Available: Days (Rotating Weekends)
The Cardiac Neuro RN provides patient-centered care for medical-telemetry, cardiac, and neurological patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and health education. The RN administers medications and treatments as prescribed and promotes wellness, health maintenance, and illness prevention. This role prioritizes patient safety and satisfaction in a 27-bed unit caring for Med/Tele Neuro, Cardiac, Post-CAB, MI, and chest pain patients.
Monitor, assess, and document patient condition and responses to interventions
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Develop individualized care plans using evidence-based nursing practices
Provide patient and family education regarding medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and hospital standards
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 1–2 years) Med-Surg / Telemetry RN acute care experience
Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license (compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days)
Current BLS and ACLS Certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification required within 30 days of employment
