Generate and review Patient Balance Aging and Insurance Aging reports
Follow up with patients and insurance carriers regarding outstanding balances
Arrange payment plans with patients when applicable
Escalate complex or unresolved accounts to supervisors promptly
Attend required training sessions
Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Experience completing both paper and electronic insurance claims
Proficiency with billing systems and standard computer applications
Strong documentation and data entry skills
Experience handling claim denials, rejections, and follow-ups

Required:

Position Overview
The Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse provides specialized pre-operative and post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients in a high-acuity recovery setting. This role requires strong pediatric critical care experience and the ability to function independently with minimal orientation.
Shift & Scheduling Details
Combination of day and evening shifts within the same pay period
8 shifts every 2 weeks (10-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PACU setting
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments in an acute care environment
Monitor post-anesthesia recovery and respond to changes in patient condition
Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications
Active New York State RN license
BLS certification (must be current and maintain recertification)

Experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma center environments (required for travelers)
