Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
Location: Bricktown, NJ
Shift/Schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 3x12s | Every other weekend required | Holidays required | No on-call
Contract Length: 13 weeks with potential for extension
Compensation: Up to $2,400 weekly
Position Overview: An opportunity is available for a skilled and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity emergency care team. This role is ideal for a confident, fast-thinking nurse who thrives in dynamic and high-pressure environments. The selected RN will provide expert care across a diverse patient population and contribute to a collaborative and efficient emergency response team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform triage, assessments, and care planning for emergency department patients.
Deliver emergency care to patients with trauma, cardiac, neurological, and psychiatric conditions.
Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and maintain accurate documentation.
Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and emergency department procedures.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience (within the last 6 months).
Strong clinical assessment and care planning capabilities.
Effective communication and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle a wide range of emergency scenarios.
Certifications & Licensure (Required):
Active RN license in New Jersey or a compact RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS – AHA)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Telemetry certification
Completion of a 4-hour CEU in Stroke Education
