Position Overview Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Surgical Assistant for an exciting Travel or Local job in Cincinnati, OH.
Job Responsibilities:
Positioning patients according to surgeon instructions for optimal exposure.
Providing visualization of the operative site using retractors, sponges, suction, and tissue manipulation.
Assisting with hemostasis and suturing using absorbable or non-absorbable materials.
Applying and securing postoperative wound dressings.
Supporting harvesting of veins, arteries, tendons, bone, and skin in applicable cases.
Staying current with relevant surgical techniques and technologies.
Skills
Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to stand for long periods
Strong clinical judgment and adherence to safety protocols
Competency in surgical assistance techniques
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Surgical Assisting OR Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program
Foreign Medical Graduate with 3 years of Surgical Assistance experience in the US (evaluated on a case-by-case basis)
2+ years of experience as a Surgical Assistant
BLS (American Heart Association) – Required
Preferred: NSAA, CFA in the AST, or RNFA at the National Assistant at Surgery Certification (NASC)

Position Overview: Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN – Med/Surg for a job in Utica, NY.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical and postoperative conditions.
Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vital signs, and manage multiple patients on a busy Med/Surg unit.
Administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with mobility and daily patient needs.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized care plans.
Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the EMR.
Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and condition management.
Maintain safety and infection control standards throughout all patient interactions.
Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg experience (required).
Travel nursing experience required.
Active NY RN license (Nursys verification required).
Current AHA BLS certification (ACLS if required by facility).
Strong patient-care, time-management, and assessment skills.
