Position Summary

Responsibilities
Conduct health assessments focusing on wound, ostomy, and continence care.
Perform focused physical assessments and create individualized care plans.
Recommend and administer appropriate medications and treatments.
Develop, revise, and evaluate standards of care, including selection of supplies and equipment.
Assess and document patient responses to wound and ostomy treatments.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of care delivered by unit staff.
Collaborate with healthcare team members and refer to other disciplines as needed.
Educate and counsel patients and families on wound prevention and management.
Provide and evaluate staff education programs, including orientation and ongoing training.
Conduct risk assessments for pressure injuries and implement preventive measures.
Escalate clinical or ethical issues as necessary.
Participate in unit, departmental, and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives.
Deliver culturally competent education to patients, families, and staff.
Maintain patient confidentiality and data security.
Pursue ongoing professional development to sustain clinical expertise.
Assist patients in accessing community resources.
Manage specialty equipment such as pressure-relief beds and negative pressure wound devices.
Qualifications
Required:
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
Licensure: Current New York State RN license (in good standing)
Certifications:
BLS (AHA)
At least one of the following: CWOCN, CWON, CWCN, CWS, WCC
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience, including wound and colostomy care
Preferred:
Experience in specialized wound care or acute care settings
Strong assessment, documentation, and patient education skills

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join a dynamic operating room team in a major healthcare facility located in Lawrenceville, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing the operating room, assisting the surgical team during procedures, and maintaining a sterile and safe environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and organize the operating room with sterile instruments, drapes, and supplies prior to surgical procedures.
Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sponges, and other supplies as needed.
Ensure maintenance of a sterile field and adherence to infection control standards throughout the procedure.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly and accurately during procedures.
Handle and label specimens appropriately for laboratory analysis.
Monitor patient safety and support the surgical team by reporting any concerns during procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and ensure compliance with facility policies.
Clean, disinfect, and restock operating rooms and surgical instruments following procedures.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care or hospital setting.
Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile technique, and operating room protocols.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
