Job Title: Breast Sonographer

Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension possible)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Flexible Day Shift
Compensation: $2,280 – $2,680 Weekly Gross (Based on Experience)
A leading outpatient breast imaging center in North Bergen, NJ is seeking an experienced Breast Sonographer to join its dedicated Breast Center team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in breast ultrasound imaging and hands-on experience assisting with ultrasound-guided breast biopsy procedures. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.
Perform routine and advanced breast ultrasound examinations.
Optimize image quality (gain, depth, focus, TGC adjustments).
Apply Doppler imaging techniques when indicated.
Identify normal and abnormal breast anatomy and pathology.
Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and aspirations.
Maintain sterile technique during invasive procedures.
Prepare patients and clearly explain procedures with professionalism and compassion.
Document examinations in EMR systems (EPIC preferred) and archive images in PACS.
Perform equipment quality control and routine maintenance.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and compliance standards.
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program.
RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) – Required.
Current CPR Certification.
Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience.
Breast ultrasound experience – Required.
Experience assisting with breast biopsy procedures – Required.
Strong knowledge of breast anatomy and pathology.
Proficiency with PACS and EMR systems.
