Position Overview

Seeking experienced Critical Care RNs for the Adult ED/ICU holding unit. Candidates must have strong ICU experience; ED experience is preferred. Previous Level I or Level II trauma center experience and EPIC experience are highly preferred.


Schedule Requirements

  • Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

  • Every other weekend required

  • Some holidays required

  • Set schedules

  • Time off requests greater than 7 consecutive days will not be approved


Qualifications

  • Current New York State RN License (required)

  • BLS certification (must be current and maintain certification)

  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level

  • ICU experience required

  • ED experience preferred

  • Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred

  • EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must not have had professional license/certification suspended or under investigation

  • Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Must pass pre-employment health clearance

  • Subject to drug screening and criminal background check


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-acuity nursing care in an ED/ICU holding environment

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments in an acute care setting

  • Deliver the majority of patient care skills with minimal orientation and supervision

  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
