Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Instructional Designer/Trainer to develop and deliver training curriculum and content for a PeopleSoft Financials ERP system (FSCM 9.2). This role involves designing and implementing comprehensive training programs and delivering content through multiple mediums including onsite, remote, and asynchronous e-learning platforms.

The ideal candidate thrives in a large, collaborative remote team environment and demonstrates strong experience with Agile, incremental, and iterative delivery methodologies.

Candidates will be subject to a pre-employment security review.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive training program tailored to specific financial business areas.

  • Develop accessibility-compliant, role-based training content from the ground up.

  • Participate in system design discussions and testing activities to ensure training accuracy and relevance.

  • Produce clear, user-friendly guides and instructional materials to enhance learner comprehension and retention.

  • Facilitate instructor-led, web-based, and computer-based training sessions for trainers and end users.

  • Create instructor materials including course outlines, background materials, instructional aids, exercises, and training tools.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and supplementary materials.

  • Manage and update training SharePoint sites to ensure content accuracy and accessibility.

  • Deliver classroom training, multimedia programs, e-learning modules, workshops, and conferences.

  • Assist in formatting and enhancing training materials created by other staff members.

  • Research and recommend vendors and training solutions (external courses, books, guides, web-based programs).

  • Incorporate new curriculum updates into existing training programs.

  • Conduct test analysis and revise testing materials when acting as testing officer.

  • Gather, analyze, and translate technical information into clear materials for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Analyze audience needs based on business processes and policy updates.

  • Maintain professionalism in classroom techniques and develop alternative instructional strategies to enhance engagement.

  • Stay current with training technologies and alternative instructional delivery methods.

  • Support staff productivity reporting as needed.


Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Central Time)

  • Currently Remote (may transition to Hybrid in the future; on-site days TBD if applicable)


Minimum Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years developing training programs for ERP systems

  • 8+ years developing accessibility-compliant training content

  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience with eLearning software

  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 ERP system

  • At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • At least 2 years of experience using MS Teams and channel-based communication within large teams

  • At least 2 years of experience maintaining and updating SharePoint sites


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience working with a public sector organization (Federal, State, or Local Government)

  • 1+ year of experience with Jira
