Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate and expert care to patients throughout the childbirth process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-acuity obstetric care, the ability to recognize and respond to maternal-fetal complications, and experience supporting both patients and families through all stages of labor and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients in a hospital setting.
Perform maternal and fetal assessments, including vital signs, fetal heart monitoring (EFM), contraction pattern observation, and cervical examinations.
Accurately interpret EFM tracings and collaborate with the care team to implement timely interventions.
Respond quickly to obstetric emergencies, including fetal distress, preeclampsia, hemorrhage, and preterm labor.
Provide continuous labor support and education to patients and their families throughout childbirth.
Assist in vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and inductions, ensuring safe, evidence-based care.
Administer and titrate IV medications such as oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, and epidural infusions.
Maintain accurate documentation in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Float to other compatible units as needed, based on clinical skill set.
Participate in weekend rotations and on-call assignments as scheduled.
Required Qualifications:
Active RN license in the state of Tennessee.
Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR.
Certifications:
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. The RN will provide specialized nursing care for intermediate and high-acuity patients requiring continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive care to patients requiring close cardiac and hemodynamic observation.
Conduct detailed assessments, interpret EKG rhythms, and promptly recognize changes in patient condition.
Administer IV, oral, and subcutaneous medications safely and accurately in accordance with hospital protocols.
Titrate continuous infusions per protocol and monitor therapeutic responses.
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
Communicate patient status and updates effectively using SBAR for clear handoffs and team coordination.
Float as needed to related step-down or critical care units within scope of competency.
Schedule
Day Shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Holidays: Every other holiday rotation as required.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 18 months of permanent PCU/Step-Down experience required prior to travel.
Licensure: Active Ohio RN License or Compact License (must be in hand at submission).
Certifications:
BLS – AHA
ACLS – AHA
Preferred: Prior experience in PCU or Step-Down setting within the last 18 months.
Ability to float to Critical Care or Cardiothoracic Step-Down units as needed.
