Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical-surgical conditions, including cardiac, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, infection, pain management, and diabetes-related cases.
Monitor, interpret, and manage cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias using telemetry and EKG equipment.
Utilize Rapid Response Teams appropriately and escalate patient concerns per facility protocol.
Manage oxygen therapy devices, including nasal cannulas, face masks, and portable oxygen tanks.
Perform non-invasive airway management and provide respiratory support as needed.
Maintain and care for peripheral IV lines, administer medications, and monitor patient responses.
Implement and adhere to isolation precautions and infection control procedures.
Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as bladder scanners, life packs, and EKG machines.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately using the facility’s EMR system (Epic preferred).
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience in an acute care setting.
