Position Overview
The Endoscopy Technician provides specialized support during endoscopic procedures under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and physician. This role involves preparing procedure rooms, assisting during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy cases, and ensuring proper handling and processing of scopes and instruments.
Key Responsibilities
Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures such as ERCP, EUS, Colonoscopy, EGD, and Bronchoscopy.
Prepare procedure rooms with required supplies, instruments, and equipment based on physician preferences.
Ensure safe and sterile handling, cleaning, and care of endoscopy equipment and scopes.
Anticipate procedural needs, support patient comfort, and communicate effectively with care team.
Restock rooms and maintain readiness for continuous procedure flow.
Deliver patient care support in alignment with clinical standards and Endoscopy Skills Inventory guidelines.
Collaborate closely with the Registered Nurse to provide safe, coordinated care.
Required Qualifications
At least 1 year of recent Endoscopy Tech experience in a hospital or procedural care setting.
Experience required in:
ERCP
EUS
Colonoscopy
EGD
Bronchoscopy
Strong knowledge of endoscope reprocessing standards and infection control procedures.
Certifications
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
Certified Endoscopy Technician – Required

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality perioperative patient care, assisting in cardiovascular operating room procedures, and supporting physicians during surgical interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide proficient perioperative care through the use of specialized equipment and instrumentation in the CVOR.
Function as a scrub assistant to surgeons during operative and invasive procedures.
Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory.
Prepare and maintain sterile fields, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
Act as a role model and resource for other surgical staff, demonstrating expertise in cardiovascular procedures.
Ensure proper handling, care, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 3 years of recent experience as an OR Technician, specifically in a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) environment.
Strong understanding of sterile techniques, patient safety, and surgical workflow.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Certifications Required:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Certification as a Surgical Technologist by either:
National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), or
National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
