Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry 

Location: Neptune, NJ

Hours: 36 hours/week
Duration: 13 weeks

Pay Rate: Starts at $45/hour (Depending on Experience)

Job Summary 

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong Med Surg/Telemetry background to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care hospital. The RN will care for adult Med Surg/Telemetry patients, including hospice and older pediatric patients, while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 3x12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Monitor and care for Med Surg/Telemetry patients
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to patient condition changes
• Provide compassionate care to hospice patients
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Float to other units as needed
• Follow evidence-based nursing practices and hospital policies

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience in an acute care hospital
• Experience caring for hospice patients
• Active New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Telemetry Certification
• CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours)
