Location: Minneapolis, MN

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift Options:

  • 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM

  • 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

  • 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to support a high-volume Cardiovascular Operating Room within a nationally recognized Magnet and Teaching Hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with complex cardiac and vascular procedures and maintaining a safe, sterile surgical environment.

Required Qualifications

  • NBSTSA or NCCT Certification Required

  • BLS Certification Required

  • Minimum 1 Year CVOR Experience Required

  • Experience in Cardiac and Vascular Surgical Procedures

  • Strong Sterile Technique and Instrument Knowledge

  • Epic Experience Preferred

Cardiac Surgery

  • CABG (On-Pump and Off-Pump)

  • Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)

  • Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement (MVRR)

  • Tricuspid Valve Repair/Replacement (TVRR)

  • Heart Transplant

  • LVAD Implantation

  • Total Artificial Heart

  • Minimally Invasive Valve Procedures

  • Transcatheter Valve Replacement Procedures

Vascular Surgery

  • AAA Repair

  • Thoracic and Thoracoabdominal Aneurysm Repair

  • Fenestrated Grafts

  • Endarterectomy

  • Peripheral Artery Disease Bypass Procedures

  • Amputations

  • ECMO Decannulation and Repositioning

Required Procedure Experience

  • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)

  • TAVR

  • TEVAR

  • EVAR

  • Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)

  • ECMO

  • Femoral Popliteal Bypass

  • Carotid Endarterectomy

  • Mitral Valve Replacement

  • Pericardial Window

  • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair

  • Atrial Septal Defect Repair

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields

  • Set up instruments, supplies, and specialty cardiac equipment

  • Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and vascular procedures

  • Handle surgical instruments and implants during cases

  • Ensure accurate surgical counts

  • Support patient safety initiatives and infection prevention standards

  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, perfusionists, and anesthesia teams

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and surgical standards
