Job Title: Surgical Technologist (OR Tech)
Location: Torrance, CA
Type: Local or Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 4 x 10-Hour Shifts | 40 Hours Per Week | 6:45 AM – 4:45 PM
Pay Rate:
Local: $30 - $35/hr
Travel: $38 - $41/hr Including Stipend (Based on Experience)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) for an exciting Local or Travel job in Torrance, CA.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain operating rooms for surgical procedures.
Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and functioning properly.
Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.
Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgery.
Perform surgical counts and adhere to patient safety protocols.
Assemble and prepare case carts for scheduled procedures.
Scrub and assist in a variety of surgical specialties, including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.
Operate and assist with DaVinci Xi robotic systems and laparoscopic equipment.
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Maintain compliance with infection prevention standards and hospital policies.
Float to affiliated facilities as needed, including Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience.
Current BLS Certification.
Experience with Case Cart preparation and Scrubbing.
Experience with DaVinci Xi Robotic Surgery and Laparoscopic procedures.
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and operating room procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an Acute Care Hospital setting.
Experience supporting multiple surgical specialties.
Previous experience with robotic-assisted and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
