Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional post-anesthesia patient care in a fast-paced recovery room environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and post-operative recovery management. This position requires strong critical care experience and the ability to respond effectively to changing patient conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Active Massachusetts RN License
  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • ACLS Certification (Required)
  • PALS Certification (Required)
  • Successful completion of Pharmacology Exam
  • Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Program or Challenge Exam
  • Minimum one (1) year recent experience within the last five years in:
    • PACU
    • SDC
    • ICU
    • CVICU
    • CVPA
    • Emergency Room
  • Demonstrated skills in:
    • IV Starts
    • Hemodynamic Monitoring
    • Ventilator Care
  • BSN Preferred
  • Prior PACU or SDC experience preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • On-Call availability required for off-shifts, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia patient care using the nursing process.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients recovering from surgical procedures.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Monitor hemodynamic status and ventilator-dependent patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Educate patients and families regarding recovery and discharge instructions.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities.
  • Deliver exceptional patient-centered care and customer service.
