Job Title: Mammography Technician

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Duration: 13-Week Contract

Compensation:
Traveler: $60-$64/hr ($2,400-$2,560/week)
Local: $50-$54/hr ($2,000-$2,160/week)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technician to join a leading healthcare facility in Brooklyn, New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.

This role requires strong technical expertise in mammography imaging, image quality assessment, and patient care within a fast-paced clinical environment.

Schedule

• Shift: Day Shift
• Hours: 40 Hours per Week
• Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
• Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression techniques, and exposure factor selection.
• Ensure all radiographic images are properly labeled according to departmental procedures.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic acceptability.
• Transmit images to PACS in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete and document all studies within the appropriate imaging and patient management systems.
• Accurately record required patient tracking and examination information.
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, MQSA standards, and patient safety protocols.
• Provide exceptional patient care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Licensure & Certifications

• Current New York State License in Diagnostic Radiography required.
• Current ARRT Registration required.
• Current AHA BLS Certification required.
• Must maintain MQSA requirements.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Mammography Technologist experience required.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mammography imaging techniques and positioning.
• Ability to evaluate image quality and ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Experience working with PACS and electronic imaging systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
