Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinic/Ambulatory (Electrocardiogram / Cardiology)

Pay Rate (Local): $2000.00 - $2200.00 Weekly
Pay Rate (Traveler): $2450.00 - $2650.00 Weekly
Schedule: 5 Days per Week | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Extension Opportunity: High possibility of extension or permanent placement
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and clinically skilled Registered Nurse for a contract position within an Electrocardiogram (EKG) and Cardiology ambulatory clinic setting. The successful candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients presenting with complex cardiovascular conditions. This role requires strong outpatient nursing experience, clinical adaptability, and a solid understanding of cardiac care to support diagnostic testing and outpatient clinical operations.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care within an EKG and Cardiology ambulatory clinic environment
Perform routine clinical tasks including IV insertion, phlebotomy, and patient triage
Deliver specialized care and monitoring for patients with heart failure, hypertension, cardiac arrhythmias, and cardiac devices
Assist with diagnostic procedures including stress testing, tilt table testing, echocardiograms, cardiac catheterizations, and electrophysiology studies
Educate patients on cardiovascular disease management, medications, and device operation
Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR)
Ensure compliance with patient safety, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Requirements
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Active and unrestricted New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification of License and Registration from NYSED
AHA BLS Certification
Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) or Outpatient Clinic Nursing experience
Strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills
Excellent communication, patient education, and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ambulatory clinic environment
Preferred
Previous Cardiology or EKG Clinic experience
Experience assisting with cardiac diagnostic procedures
Knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation and cardiovascular disease management
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
