Shift & Schedule: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Per Week
Every Other Weekend
1 Summer Holiday & 1 Winter Holiday Required
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bricktown, NJ.
Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
Assess, evaluate, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
Assist with intubation procedures and provide ventilator setup, management, and monitoring.
Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results.
Manage mechanical ventilation and airway support for critically ill patients.
Educate patients and caregivers regarding respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and equipment usage.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Document patient assessments, treatments, responses, and educational activities accurately and timely.
Ensure compliance with departmental policies, hospital standards, and regulatory requirements.
Respond effectively to emergency respiratory situations and provide critical care support.
Maintain respiratory therapy equipment and ensure proper functioning.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care License.
Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification.
Current AHA BLS Certification.
Current ACLS Certification.
Current PALS Certification.
Minimum one (1) year of respiratory therapy experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical ventilation management.
Strong knowledge of airway management.
Strong knowledge of arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis.
Strong knowledge of critical care respiratory procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3)+ years of Respiratory Therapy experience.
Experience in acute care and critical care settings.
Previous experience with ventilator management and advanced respiratory support techniques.
