Title: Mammography Technologist (Community)
Location: New York
Duration: 14 Weeks (High possibility of extension)
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift: Day Shift | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 42.5 Hours Per Week
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join a patient-focused imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality mammography examinations and stereotactic breast procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, and imaging quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations
Assist with stereotactic breast procedures under radiologist supervision
Greet patients, verify demographic information, and explain procedures
Position patients accurately and select appropriate imaging techniques
Produce high-quality diagnostic mammography images
Maintain compliance with ACR Mammography QA/QC and Hologic Selenia Dimensions standards
Complete and document required quality control procedures
Maintain accurate patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
Monitor imaging equipment performance and report operational concerns
Adhere to MQSA continuing education and competency requirements
Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams
Deliver exceptional patient-centered care while maintaining confidentiality
Support departmental operations and additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent education
Current New York State License/Registration in Radiologic Technology (or eligibility)
ARRT Mammography Certification or eligibility to obtain certification within one year
Minimum one (1) year of progressive mammography or related imaging experience
Current CPR Certification
Ability to successfully complete pre-employment health clearance requirements
Strong knowledge of mammography imaging techniques and patient care standards
Preferred Qualifications:
ARRT Credentialed in Breast Mammography
Experience performing stereotactic breast biopsy procedures
Experience with Hologic Mammography Systems
Familiarity with MQSA, ACR, and New York State regulatory requirements
Key Skills:
