Radiologic Technologist – Radiographer | Contract
Location: Bronx, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders.
Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and effectively.
Position patients appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images.
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and proper identification procedures.
Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals.
Evaluate image quality and repeat studies when necessary.
Prepare examination rooms and maintain imaging equipment.
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Preferred:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Previous acute care hospital experience.
Experience working overnight shifts in a Diagnostic Imaging department.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of General Radiographer experience.
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist training program.
Current ARRT Certification and Registration required.
Valid New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Radiologic Technologist License required.
Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices.
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and patient records.
English proficiency (Speak, Read, and Write).
Ability to work weekends and holidays.
