Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (Travel)
Location: Allen, TX
Type: Contract | 8 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts | 6:30 PM Start Time
Weekends and Holidays as Needed
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery for an exciting Travel or Local job in Allen, TX. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods.
Monitor maternal and fetal status using appropriate assessment techniques.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Assist physicians and healthcare providers during labor and delivery procedures.
Assess and respond to obstetric emergencies.
Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Float to Mother Baby unit and provide newborn care when required.
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
Minimum two (2) years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Experience caring for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and patient education skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous travel nursing experience.
Experience floating between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
