Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (Travel)
Location: Allen, TX
Type: Contract | 8 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts | 6:30 PM Start Time
Weekends and Holidays as Needed

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery for an exciting Travel or Local job in Allen, TX. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods.

  • Monitor maternal and fetal status using appropriate assessment techniques.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

  • Assist physicians and healthcare providers during labor and delivery procedures.

  • Assess and respond to obstetric emergencies.

  • Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care.

  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Float to Mother Baby unit and provide newborn care when required.

  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.

  • Minimum two (2) years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required.

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

  • Experience caring for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous travel nursing experience.

  • Experience floating between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units.

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
