Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in an acute care hospital. Candidates must have recent experience in both Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Labor and Postpartum experience required
• Active RN license required
• Pending licenses not accepted
• First-time travelers considered
• Local candidates not accepted

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate

Preferred Certifications

• AWHONN Advanced

Patient Ratio

• 1:3

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum recovery.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, anesthesiasts, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
