Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse – Long-Term Care

Location: Carrington, ND

Duration: 6-Week Contract

Shift: Variable Night Shift

Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts | 36/48-Hour Rotation

Compensation:

  • Local Pay: $36/hour (based on experience)
  • Traveler Pay: $43/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care within a long-term care environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering resident-centered care, promoting safety and well-being, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to support optimal resident outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions safely and accurately.
  • Monitor, assess, and document residents’ health status, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
  • Identify and promptly communicate changes in resident condition to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely nursing documentation.
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and updating resident care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Educate residents and family members regarding treatments, medications, and healthcare needs.
  • Promote resident safety, comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and changing resident care needs.
  • Attend staff meetings, care conferences, and ongoing educational programs as required.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program required.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in the State of North Dakota required.
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification preferred.

Experience

  • Previous Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Rehabilitation, Assisted Living, or Geriatric Care experience preferred.
