RN Cath Lab

Location: Mission Hills, CA 91345

Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Hours: 4x10s | 40 Hours per Week

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assess patients before cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures

  • Monitor patients during procedures, including hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation

  • Administer medications, moderate sedation, and contrast agents per physician orders and facility protocols

  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other cardiovascular procedures

  • Monitor and manage patient recovery following procedures and respond to complications as needed

  • Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions

  • Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and procedural outcomes

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Participate in emergency response situations and maintain readiness for on-call responsibilities as required

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification

  • Minimum 1–2 years of Cath Lab experience

  • Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures

  • Experience in a hospital-based acute care setting

  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and disease processes

  • Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation

  • Experience with conscious/moderate sedation administration and monitoring

  • Ability to recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies and procedural complications

  • Knowledge of cardiac catheterization equipment, procedures, and sterile techniques

  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Moderate Sedation Certification

  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification

  • Prior travel experience
