Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Director of Trauma Program for an exciting opportunity in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Trauma Program across the continuum of care
  • Coordinate trauma care initiatives among physicians, nursing staff, EMS providers, and community partners
  • Collaborate with regional trauma systems to optimize patient outcomes
  • Monitor trauma program performance, quality metrics, and clinical outcomes
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives, audits, case reviews, and quality assurance activities
  • Develop quality indicators, reporting processes, and corrective action plans
  • Oversee trauma registry operations to ensure compliance, confidentiality, and data integrity
  • Manage trauma center verification and re-verification processes
  • Promote trauma research, innovation, and educational initiatives
  • Provide leadership and oversight for Trauma Program staff
  • Serve as a liaison between trauma surgeons, emergency department teams, nursing leadership, and executive leadership
  • Address patient concerns and support service excellence initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all state, regulatory, and trauma verification requirements

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License required
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required
  • BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Minimum 5 years of recent trauma leadership experience required
  • Experience as a Trauma Program Manager, Trauma Coordinator, or Trauma Services Leader required
  • Strong knowledge of trauma center verification standards and trauma registry management
  • Experience with trauma quality improvement and performance improvement programs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing teams, and executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a Level II Trauma Center preferred
  • Experience managing trauma operations, regulatory compliance, and multidisciplinary teams preferred
  • Experience with trauma research and program development preferred
