Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Director of Surgical Services for an exciting opportunity in Loxahatchee, FL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current RN License required
  • Minimum 3 years of Director-level Surgical Services leadership experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Strong background in perioperative operations, staffing, budgeting, and physician relations
  • Strong leadership, operational, and financial management skills
  • Ability to drive quality, patient satisfaction, and performance improvement initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree (MSN, MHA, MBA, or related field) preferred
  • Experience leading high-volume surgical programs preferred
  • Robotics program leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

Clinical & Quality Leadership

  • Drive patient safety, quality initiatives, and evidence-based practices
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
  • Optimize patient throughput, surgical flow, and operational efficiency
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives

Operational Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day Surgical Services operations
  • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration among physicians, nursing leaders, and support departments
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance outcomes and patient satisfaction

Team Development

  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional growth
  • Mentor and develop leaders and frontline staff
  • Support recruitment, retention, succession planning, and employee recognition initiatives

Strategic Growth

  • Partner with hospital leadership and physicians to expand existing programs and develop new service lines
  • Evaluate market opportunities and technological advancements that support growth and innovation

Financial Management

  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, capital equipment requests, and operating expenses
  • Monitor productivity, labor management, and supply utilization
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards
