Title: LPN – Medical Surgical (Discharge Lounge)
Location: Rochester, New York
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 4x10-Hour Shifts | 4 Days Per Week
Shift Timing: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced LPN – Medical Surgical (Discharge Lounge) to provide patient-centered care in an acute care environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing patient assignments with RN support and assisting patients through the discharge process while maintaining high-quality clinical care.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical setting
Monitor and document vital signs and patient assessments
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Assist with discharge planning and patient education
Monitor intake and output
Perform blood glucose monitoring
Manage oxygen therapy and telemetry monitoring
Assist with feeding tube management and Foley catheter care
Perform specimen collection and labeling
Provide wound care and drain management
Communicate patient condition changes to RN and physicians
Follow infection control and isolation protocols
Float to other units within skill set as required
Required Qualifications:
Active New York State LPN License required
BLS Certification required
Acute Care experience within the last 2 years
EPIC experience required
Ability to manage patient assignments with RN support
