We are seeking an experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Roosevelt, Utah. The RN will provide high-quality care to chronic renal failure patients in an outpatient dialysis setting while overseeing dialysis treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and skilled nurse with strong dialysis and patient care experience.
Responsibilities
Perform patient assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of dialysis care
Supervise dialysis treatments for chronic renal failure patients
Monitor patients and dialysis equipment throughout treatments
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to implement patient care plans
Assist before, during, and after dialysis procedures
Educate patients on self-care, medications, dietary restrictions, and vascular access maintenance
Supervise dialysis technicians and ensure compliance with safety protocols
Ensure dialysis equipment is cleaned, disinfected, and functioning properly
Respond effectively to dialysis-related emergencies
Coordinate care with dietitians, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate patient documentation and confidentiality
Participate in staff meetings and continuing education activities
Requirements
Current active Utah RN License required
Current BLS Certification required
ACLS Certification required
Dialysis or renal care experience preferred
Strong knowledge of dialysis procedures and patient monitoring
Ability to work night and weekend shifts
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
CCHT or nephrology-related certifications preferred
