Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Location: New York, NY
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Schedule: 3 Shifts per Week | 12-Hour Shifts
Duration: 14 Weeks
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery to provide exceptional maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced acute care environment in New York, New York.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise in Labor & Delivery nursing, maternal-child care, IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation while delivering compassionate and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor and delivery
Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond to patient status changes
Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, and medication administration
Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures
Administer and monitor conscious sedation as required
Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
Requirements
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program required
Active New York State RN License required
NYSED Verification required
AHA BLS Certification required
AHA ACLS Certification required
NRP Certification required
Minimum two years of Maternal & Child nursing experience required
Minimum two years of IV Insertion and Phlebotomy experience required
Minimum two years of Conscious Sedation experience required
Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
