Job Title: X-Ray Technician

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 13-Week Contract with Possible Extension
Schedule: Days – 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 Hours Weekly
Break: 30-Minute Unpaid Break Included

Compensation:

  • Local Pay: $2,250/week
  • Traveler Pay: $2,667.38/week

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services within a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures, ensuring patient safety, maintaining imaging quality standards, and supporting efficient clinical operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Operate radiologic imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images
  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety and infection prevention standards
  • Review radiographic images for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to support patient care
  • Ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained and functioning appropriately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate’s Degree required (Community College or equivalent program)

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.) required
  • ARRT Certification required
  • Current AHA BLS Certification required

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of X-Ray experience required

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiology procedures and imaging equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and patient safety practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
