Certified Nursing Assistant – Long Term Care

We are hiring a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 13-week Long Term Care assignment. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with LTC experience who are passionate about providing quality patient care in a supportive healthcare environment.

Job Details

• Specialty: Long Term Care (LTC)
• Location: Newark, New York
• Shift: Mid Shift – 5x8 Hours (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Support ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and mobility assistance
• Provide bathing, grooming, oral care, skin care, and hygiene support
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient condition changes
• Assist with feeding, fluid restrictions, and specimen collection
• Maintain infection control and PPE compliance
• Operate patient care equipment including Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, specialty beds, and transfer devices
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Certified Nursing Assistant experience
• Active CNA certification required
• Long Term Care experience preferred
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with patient transfers and safe patient handling
• Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Experience obtaining and documenting vital signs
• Familiarity with long-term care workflows and patient support
