Project Overview

A large enterprise organization is undertaking a strategic initiative to optimize hyperscaler cloud consumption and execution across committed workloads. The goal is to enhance visibility, governance, and decision-making related to cloud usage, ensuring alignment between demand, financial commitments, and execution strategies.

This role requires a consulting professional who can provide analytical insights, executive-level reporting, and strategic support to drive consumption outcomes at scale.


Role Summary

The Senior Consultant / Manager will play a key role in supporting the hyperscaler consumption workstream. This individual will transform complex cloud consumption and financial data into clear, actionable insights and executive-level narratives to guide decision-making and manage risks effectively.


Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution

  • Support the design and execution of hyperscaler consumption strategies
  • Identify gaps between committed and actual cloud usage
  • Drive alignment between business demand, financial commitments, and execution plans

Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop executive-level dashboards tracking:
    • Cloud consumption
    • Financial commitments
    • Forecasts and KPIs
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of cloud usage, spend, and workload adoption
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations

Executive Communication

  • Create high-quality presentations for senior leadership
  • Communicate risks, opportunities, and recommended actions clearly and concisely
  • Support leadership with decision-making materials and insights

Governance & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with stakeholders to define consumption governance frameworks
  • Establish reporting cadence, metrics, and performance tracking
  • Facilitate cross-functional working sessions to drive alignment and accountability

Program Support

  • Provide structured status updates and reporting
  • Identify risks, issues, and mitigation strategies
  • Support overall program execution in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in management consulting, technology consulting, or advisory services
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
  • Proven ability to create executive-level presentations and dashboards
  • Experience with cloud, hyperscaler, or large-scale technology transformation initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, client-facing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FinOps, cloud financial management, or hyperscaler consumption models
  • Exposure to workload migration programs
  • Experience in enterprise-scale or regulated industries
  • Experience working in multi-vendor or partner-driven environments
